PURA VIDA LOVE

My heart resides gently as I awaken in a new place. Familiar sounds, sights, smells. My energy is excited yet calm knowing I am at home with this place. I lay in bed wondering if 5 hrs of sleep is sufficient enough to explore the day and get re-acquainted to my new yet old environment. The sounds of roosters, birds and Spanish make me smile.
It’s about 2 a.m. right now and I just landed in Costa Rica. After spending the last 15 min driving around the hood with a taxi driver who said that he grew up in Alejuela but has no idea of the address I gave him. I should have caught that clue at the airport to search out a new taxi guy. For some reason I wanted to challenge my memory. So I said to him “vamos, yo conozco” which means, let’s go…i know. Basically I tried to tell him I remember where we’re going so let’s do it. Even though I have been to Margarita’s Guest House several times, I was at the point of sleep deprivation and of course cranky, for those of you that know me..haha this is not an awesome recipe for a great conversation. He took me on all these back streets to take a short cut and I didn’t recognize a thing. So 15 min later and the meter keeps ticking. I said “pull over”..por favor of course! My cell phone was dead so even if I wanted to call I couldn’t. We ended up asking another taxi driver to drive me there. I felt terrible he didn’t even charge me for the little airport adventure. These are the times you need to surrender into the moment and remember this is all part of the journey. Important thing is I felt safe and not at all threatened. He was kind and helpful, bless the old man.
So shortly after that I finally arrived at my destination. My Costa Rican Mom was sitting there waiting up for my arrival. I felt a sense of coming home.
My Spanish is rusty but it’s like riding a bike it will start to come back to me. I just have to make that switch in my mind. I am absolutely thrilled to explore more of a different language it makes me feel more full, that I am living life in so many different dimensions.
I’m also excited to begin a new adventure. After being in India I felt like this solo traveling thing is a breeze to get around. India…oh India, wow, you were so magnificent for my soul as I felt it challenged me in ways I needed to crack open certain layers within my being in order for growth and realization to occur. It solidified a path that I am so grateful to be on. I gained clarity and confidence as a leader, a guide, a teacher, a student and a mature confident women living in a dynamic ever changing world…So much gratitude!

Now, sipping on a marvellous cup of Costa Rican coffee preparing for my Yoga retreat ahead of me. I am so thankful for the students and participants of the retreat that I am facilitating. As well as Vida Asana crew for hosting our retreat. I am able to live out a dream that I planted seeds for long ago. Now to see it bearing fruit and soaking up the juices is exhilarating to my spirit. Evolving in ways I couldn’t even imagine. The way we shape and create our lives is special. All the little steps we take, the thoughts we think all affects the experience and roles we play in this life. I am happy to serve, serve for the better of humanity by turning inwards and developing a deeper understanding of why is it that i am here. To create growth and awareness around health and well being. Creating stronger communities to cooperate on a higher consciousness level rather than a lower vibration. Looking forward to this coming up retreat and getting closer to the powerful women that are joining.
